Recent clinical studies have shown that CBD can help
address osteoarthritis (OA) pain in dogs with limited or
no side effects. Compared to other commonly prescribed
treatments for dogs and cats with OA, which are
associated with adverse events, including gastrointestinal
upset of bleeding, treatment with CBD showed no side
effects after treatment with CBD. CBD has also been
reported to have immunomodulatory, anti-hyperalgesic,
antinociceptive, and anti-inflammatory actions, making
it an attractive therapeutic option in dogs with OA.
